We propose a strategy for creating a Mediterranean city that is integrated, adaptable and sensitive to the lifecycles of those who comprise it.
Its objective is an attempt to understand the city as a stratified and multiscale system that must manage the mechanisms of contact, regulation, exchange, communication and adaptation of its components in a synchronized way.
The project incorporates the multiple spheres of knowledge that have arisen around the Mediterranean culture for centuries: the hybrid outer appearance, the hedonistic character, the thermoregulation of the Arab garden, democratic thinking, and diversity or integration; proposing a general strategy based on stratification and evolution over time starting from the 4 vectors that must also serve as guides for or indicators of the sustainability of the action: urban complexity, urban metabolism, urban biodiversity and social cohesion, habitability of the public space and sustainable mobility.
